The Joy Farmer is a seasonally inspired cut flower farm growing treasured garden blooms for local florists & flower lovers in Wanaka, New Zealand.

I specialise in mixed bloom bundles for DIY styling of wedding or event flowers and floral inspired craft experiences for hens parties and birthday celebrations.

Additionally I offer garden style bouquets for gifting and handfuls of everyday flowers to brighten your home, all freshly gathered to order from my farm.

My flowers are grown the old fashioned way by hand in open air following the rhythms of nature and its seasons, it can be harsh, dirty, and labour intensive work but the outcome is beautiful.

The Joy Farmer's offering is unique to a florist studio in that all my flowers are locally grown right here in Central Otago. What is available is completely dependent on the weather and the season we are in. I have discovered there is still always beauty to be found when you turn your eyes to this way of seeing the world and I personally love that the flowers reflect a particular moment in time in this beautiful region.

I only work with what is flowering that week in the garden, offering farm fresh blooms for collection from Wanaka between September and March.

Hello, I am Sarah & welcome to my flower inspired world where I grow romantic & characterful garden flowers for my community and share stories of a life spent outdoors.

My flowers are grown at my family's high country station in Central Otago, NZ. A clashing alpine desert like environment with dramatic views & vast temperature fluctuations. It is an equally wonderful & challenging place to live and grow.
