The Joy Farmer is a seasonally inspired flower farm and creative studio sharing treasured garden blooms with local florists & flower lovers from Wanaka, New Zealand.

I offer flowers that feel natural rather than perfect, seasonal rather than prescribed, an approach deeply connected to the rhythms and beauty of Central Otago.

I specialise in mixed bloom bundles for DIY wedding and event flowers, along with floral craft experiences for occasions such as hens parties and gatherings.

Alongside this, I create garden-style bouquets for gifting and freshly gathered bunches at my gate on weekends for locals. Simple, seasonal flowers to brighten everyday life.

My flowers are grown the old fashioned way by hand in open air following the rhythms of nature and its seasons, it can be harsh, dirty, and labour intensive work but the outcome is beautiful.

The Joy Farmer's offering is unique to a florist studio in that all my flowers are locally grown right here in Central Otago. I only work with what is flowering that week in the garden, which is completely dependent on the weather and the season we are in.

I embrace natural movement, abundance, and the fleeting beauty of what is available locally to create romantic, garden led floristry that feels relaxed, grounded, and designed to reflect both the moment and the landscape it belongs to.

Farm fresh blooms are available for collection from Wanaka between September and March. Outside of these months contact me for options.

Hello, I am Sarah & welcome to my flower inspired world where I grow romantic & characterful garden flowers for my community and share stories of a simplier life spent outdoors.

My flowers are grown at my family's high country station in Central Otago, NZ. A clashing alpine desert like environment with dramatic views & vast temperature fluctuations. It is an equally wonderful & challenging place to live and grow.
